Le Cocoon
Textile installation in cooperation with Levin Lehmann - Six month residency and exhibition project APTUS curated by Indira Béraud - Sarzeau (FRA) - 06/23
Le Cocoon is a temporary textile installation that seeks to integrate itself into the landscape rather than disrupting it. Drawing inspiration from local agricultural practices, it reimagines familiar plant-scale structures on a human scale - A microclimate that invites reflection on the delicate interplay between human intervention and natural ecosystems. Crafted from reused and repaired materials, the work emphasizes preservation and adaptation.
During the exhibition in June 2023, Le Cocoon hosted a food installation by Mexican artist Grace Denis.
Materials: Recycled oyster sticks, recycled plant nets, natural fiber cord
